If I had to change one thing about this book it would be taking out the parts about Ender’s brother and sister sharing their opinions illegally online, it is kind of irrelevant and distracts the reader from what’s going on with Ender and to me I didn’t want to stop reading about Ender. Although it does make sense at the end that they caused the possible world war I still think the book would be better without it and I wish it had focused on Ender for those chapters.(89 words, 1653 total)

My favorite character besides Ender has to be Bean. Bean is basically a little Ender in the making. Ender put Bean through most of the stuff he went through because he saw himself in Bean, he would single him out to show everyone that he’s the best in the group and so that people wouldn’t be his friend but would look up to him. Also, Bean knows he’s good and I like that confidence, he told Ender that he wanted to be a toon leader which is unheard of. But he got it. Bean is kind of like the under dog that nobody would expect to do anything but goes out there and kills it and I love that about him.(121 words)

This book was easily one of my favorite reads, it had the perfect amount of action in it and I always wanted to read more. I liked how the point of view would change between Ender, Valentine and the generals, this allowed me to understand what is going on at all times on earth and in battle/commander school. I would recommend this book to honestly everybody but specifically those who love action and space like battle. I mean this book didn’t win awards for nothing, it’s amazing!(88 words)

Not only did I just finish the book but I also just watched the movie. But the movie didn’t’t really meet my expectations. I had not expected the facilities to be so advanced when I was reading but in the movie it was clear to see that. But my main problem with the movie was that it left out so many events and people were described much different it was hard to enjoy it when you know it’s not the same as the book. The movie left out all but two of Ender’s battles, it left out all of the training he led and even an event where he killed a kid when protecting himself. Also, the simulator room at commander school was way different than I imagined, in the book I pictured a screen and a headset with only ender in the room, but in the movie there were all of his toon leaders and it wasn’t a screen, I don’t know what it was but it filled up the entire room.(173 words)

Ender’s game is relatable to the real world in some ways but in many ways it is not like it at all. In the real world we have armies, commanders, wars and training just like in the book, but we don’t do all of it on different planets against aliens like Ender did. Because of this it allows the reader to somewhat relate but still be curious and want to read more about the things that are different about it. That was true for me at least. One of the main differences that caught my attention the most was the zero gravity battle rooms and how Ender had all of these strategies to cope with the zero gravity and how he could take advantage of it. Another connection is that in the story there was about to be a world war and we’ve had a couple of those ourselves. (149 words)
Ender’s Game #5
After Ender calms down a little after finding out about the bugger war the resolution or falling action begins to occur. This is where things start to settle down a little. Ender’s sister, Val comes to eros(the planet he is on) and then they move to another planet where Ender is the main leader there . He searches the place and finds that buggers used to live here which inspires him to want to give back and pay tribute to their species because he killed them all when he didn’t want to. The book ends by Ender trying to find a place to let the new bugger egg that he found hatch so the buggers can restart their population safely. There is no true resolution to the bugger war because Ender will always have that internal conflict that he killed all of those people and an entire species but this is how he calms down. At the end of the book Ender comes to the realization that his happiness is most important, which can be seen by him no longer taking part in high stress activities. Also he realizes that the buggers weren’t so bad after all and that the humans and buggers could’ve worked together.(206 words)
Ender’s Game #4
Now, What we’ve all been waiting for, the climax of the story, the big event. After I read this part of the book I was absolutely shocked. So Ender has been doing these simulations for his training right? So he has one last battle for “Graduation” and after that he’ll get to be a real commander. So Ender comes into the simulation room with all of his toon leaders and army not knowing what he’s really getting into. He is outnumbered thousands to one, but sacrifices his own ships in order to blow up the enemy planet and win the battle. Turns out all of this wasn’t really simulation, he was commanding the real final battle in war. This really shocked me as I did not see this coming at all. But although Ender had won the war he was very upset knowing now that he was lied to and that he killed an entire species and even his own people. I’ll pick up tomorrow with the resolution but for now logging out for tonight, Grayton. (176 words)

In Ender’s Game the majority of the story is the rising action. This is due to the climax taking place towards the end of the story. There are a few main events that occur in the raising action but they surely aren’t the greatest part of the story. The rising action includes Ender going to battle school and doing very well. Here at battle school he leads the rankings always and even got to command his own army at a very young age. This builds interest in the reader of wanting to know what he’ll do with all of that talent, so they keep reading. Ender eventually graduates early and ends up going to command school where the climax will happen, but not just yet. First, Ender will meet his new teacher who won the last war against the buggers and he’ll be tested with “simulators” for his training which aren’t really simulators but is the actual war he is commanding. The climax occurs soon after. (166 words)
Ender’s Game #2
In Ender’s Game there was a lot of conflict, including both internal and external. The majority of this conflict was internal though. Ender had to make so many tough decisions throughout his journey. These decisions included wether to go to battle school or not, in all of his battles he had to make the right decisions in order to win and he had an internal conflict wondering if he even wanted to continue with battle/commander school when he’s feeling about empty. The main external conflict in the story for Ender is defeating the buggers in commander school. He is put on a simulation which he thinks is just a game but once he won he found out he was actually controlling the real ships and he actually defeated the buggers. While there were many internal conflicts I think the hardest one for Ender was deciding if he wanted to continue with training or not because if he had chose not to, the buggers could’ve taken over Earth. Ender’s Game #1
Just recently I finished a book called Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card. I must say this is one of the best books I’ve ever read. The main character in this story is Ender Wiggin, a young boy who is a great leader very intelligent and has been chosen to hopefully become the new commander for the IF. Throughout the book he has developed a lot! Ender was put through so much in his training and with school he came out a completely different person than he was before. At the beginning of the book, Ender is a small boy who is shy and wanted to be left alone. Kids would pick on him at school and that caused him to have to protect himself one day which he did very well. This caught the IF’s attention which led him to be put in battle school. Towards the middle of the book Ender has become more confident and strict. He is being hyped up by the teachers because he is the greatest and also because he has won every battle even when the odds are against him. But with all this pressure and military like battle he has become very strict and isn’t so much of a sweet little boy anymore. Towards the end of the book Ender has become very intelligent and confident in himself, now at commander school he has still never lost a battle causing him to be confident in his work and is very smart from all the training he has received. But while he may be smart and confident he has lost a lot of the joy in his life and isn’t so happy anymore, they put so much pressure on this little boy he’s been pushed passed his limits. Overall Ender has developed into a more confident and intelligent person but has also been drained out from all his hard work.(317 words)
